It is well-known that preferences such as using local raw materials and shopping from local producers and vendors have positive effects on sustainability, contributing to both the revitalization of the local workforce and the development of the region. Supporting producers who adhere to eco-friendly and fair production policies is a crucial step toward sustainable development. Moreover, it is of particular importance to aid local businesses struggling to survive in challenging conditions.

The earthquakes that occurred in February, centered in Kahramanmaraş and Hatay, had a widespread impact on the production and sales of local brands in numerous cities, including Adana, Adıyaman, Diyarbakır, Gaziantep, Hatay, Kahramanmaraş, Kilis, Malatya, Osmaniye, Şanlıurfa, and Elazığ. Following the earthquakes and aftershocks, local producers and operators in the earthquake zone faced commercial challenges. Some had their shops and production facilities damaged, while others lost the means to store their products. It is crucial for local producers and entrepreneurs to continue their commercial activities to facilitate the redevelopment of cities in the earthquake zone, which boasts abundant production and fertile lands.

Shopping from businesses in the earthquake zone can offer a long-term and sustainable benefit to producers residing in the affected areas. This approach, supporting the revival of production in the city, not only helps sustain the local products and culture but also provides an economic contribution to businesses affected by the earthquake.

We have compiled local producers and entrepreneurs in the earthquake-affected provinces. In addition to the businesses on this list, major commercial platforms have also initiated campaigns to support the region.
