Alper Derinboğaz graduated from Istanbul Technical University in 2005. He was awarded a Fulbright Scholarship for the Advanced Architectural Studies program at the UCLA Architecture and Urban Design Department and received the UCLA Graduate Prize. In 2010, he founded Salon, a term also used to describe a “meeting space for new ideas or criticism” in French. In addition to his professional pursuits, Derinboğaz serves as a studio manager in the architectural design studio at Istanbul Technical University and participates as a jury member in competitions. Derinboğaz has earned numerous international awards and honors.
